I’m so intrigued by straight couples

“I’m So Intrigued By Straight Couples (Or Is It Just Me Returning the Gaze)” explores encounters with straight couples expressing affection in public spaces. While the normalization of cuddling among couples is not the central focus, the work calls attention to the experiences of heterosexual, homosexual, and non-binary couples in public settings. Currently, same-sex or non-binary relationships often lack the safety and social acceptance to display intimacy openly. Ultimately, this series invites viewers to debate counter-hegemonic perspectives on normative expressions of affection vis-a-vis the public gaze they generate.
